Full, juicy, balanced, this Fuding Gong Mei is a sessionable, entertaining daily drinker with plenty of layers.
For those hip to the 2017 reclassification of the Gong Mei name out of the old plucking grade system as a tea derived from heirloom non-cultivar plants (referred to as 小菜茶 Xiao Cai Cha), you'd think this Gong Mei would only be derived from Xiao Cai Cha. But these days, the Wu family likes to blend the guidelines for both the old and the new classification. Xiao Cai Cha, Fuding Da Bai, and Fuding Da Hao is all blended together for this production, not to mention the old Gong Mei picking standard of 1 bud, 2-3 leaves is abided by, an homage to the old Gong Mei system.

After an early evening session with slightly under boiling water, this white tea had all the sweetness, mouthfeel and fresh sun baked flavor expected. The session was quite relaxing and the mouthfeel was somewhat dry towards the end. This is an example of a daily drinker that is unbelievable to actually obtain. Watch the video and enjoy! Thanks
