The site of innumerable significant social developments and legends, Anhui is also the birthplace of three of China’s ten classic teas, claiming more than any other province. Anhui is home to the misty spires of iconic Huangshan, the Yellow Mountains, hosting tea production on the outer slopes of its range.  Notable Anhui styles like Qimen Red, Lu'an Guapian, Taiping Houkui, Huoshan Yellow Bud, Lu’an Ancha, Huangshan Mao Feng, and more, give to the tea world a potent diversity of genres for such a small arena: yellow tea, red tea, heicha dark tea, and multiple unique green teas are all represented. Distinct not only from each other, these types march to the beat of their own drum in the greater market as they continue to build on their respective long histories, unhomogenized by modern trends.
