Discovering incredible tea is our passion.  Even after research, travel, relationship tending, and taste testing there is no guarantee a tea will join our selection unless we without a doubt feel 100% stoked to stand behind it.  If we weren’t proud to have these teas in our own cups, they wouldn’t make it to yours.

Rivers & Lakes Tea comes only from tea gardens we've personally been to; from tea producers we have met in real life.

All of our teas are gained directly through connections and the continued cultivation of relationships made during our travels.  If the devotion to genuinely-sourced, high-quality teas humbles us to grow slow, we’re okay with that.
